Excel Receives Northeast Region Pennsylvania Job Creator Award

HAZELTON, Pa. - October 30, 2002 - The Excel case ready facility here received the Northeast Region Pennsylvania Job Creator Award from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. Excel was chosen among a large number of nominees. The award recognizes Excel for its efforts to bring new job opportunities to the area, its human resource practices and service to the community. The plant currently employs 600 people in a variety of production, administrative and management jobs.

"We are honored to receive this award from the state of Pennsylvania for our efforts to create job opportunities in this area," said Brad McDowell, manager of Excel's Hazelton facility. "We have had good experience working with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor through a variety of programs such as Career Links to help increase job opportunities."
